Good afternoon all you.
I'm Italian and I apologize in advance for my English.
I have a little question about the Cv calculation for a wellhead choke valve to control the pressure.
These are the data I have at disposal:
Valve size 7 1/16" in compliance with API 6A.
The fluid is "mixed hydrocarbon".
Temperature 42° C.
Flow 19369 kg/h
Inlet pressure 92 bar
Outlet pressure 29 bar
Density Vapor=17.6 kg/mc - Liquid=883.75 kg/mc - Water=998 kg/mc.
From my calculations, I have a Cv too small.
I'd be very grateful if anyone of you could help me to solve this issue.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Help for Cv calculation of a choke valve
As you have very high pressure drop - 63 bar it is normal to have small Cv value.
