Gasoline vapors flow rate issue

Post by KS112 » Fri Mar 18, 2016 5:28 pm

Hai All,

I want to calculate the flow rate of gasoline(petrol) vapors through a 2 inch line. During gasoline decantation from tank lorry to main site underground tank fumes are produced. The gas station tank size is 9 ft in diameter and 25 ft long, gasoline is transferred through a 4 inch dia pipe just 6 inches above the bottom of the tank with pours in the line to avoid backing of flow.

The question is a 2 inch line enough to allow the vapor fumes to escape away or the diameter needs to enhanced.
