I have to change a penstock to a Eccentric plug valve in order to obtain more control over the flow (this will be controlled by a rotork valve actuator)
All I know is the max required flow rate l/s (25 l/s)
The valve is open ended and feed by about one meter head of water (but this varies), valve body is about 150 mm long and bolted to a wall with a large hole in it (larger than the full bore of the valve)
The flow will be controlled by a flow meter and modulating the actuator.
How do I calc what size valve would I need? Knowing, A. flow rate B. head of water C. Length of valve body. Please.
Julian
