I have to recalculate an orifice plate for an existing installation with pipe taps but the fluid flow calculator only allows for d-d/2, corner or 1" taps. The actual plate has a bore of 46,62mm, the pipe is 82,8mm id, the pressure drop is 250mbar, the pressure is 5bar, the temp 20º C and the fluid is water. The plate was calculated for 34m3/h and I need to recalculate for 40m3/h. Using the fluid flow calculator I get 27,9m3/h for the actual plate and a pressure drop of 500mbar for 39,4m3/h for corner taps. How can I correct thee values for pipe taps?
