How to calculate pipe dia?

Post by ramshad » Wed May 30, 2012 8:05 am

I have a gear pump with an output rate of 400 kg/hr which is used to pump vulcanized rubber.
The vulcanized rubber is fed into the gear pump through a extruder machine with the same 400 kg/hr output rate.
The outlet dia of the gear pump is 155 mm.
The entire unit is used for rubber compression moulding process in which the mould is filled by using gear pump unit.
The rubber from the gear pump enter into the mould through two hose pipes.
As the output of gear pump is 400 kg/hr and the outlet dia is 155 mm, what should be the dia of two hose pipes which is directly connected the head of gear pump.?
