Re: Calculating Pressure Drop in Natural Gas Piping

Hi,
Yes. That formula is ideal for your problem.
You are also free to download and try natural gas calculator that will help you on the calculation.

If you give me actual flow rate or burner power I can help you on calculation.

Re: passive pressure compensation: time to equalise

I think so. Yet, as I said I haven't got back confirmation of the derivation that you used also, but all calculation results are very close to the conclusion that you made. 1.35 m is about 13.5 kPa, so as you have +/- 50 kPa that should be with solid reserve, which I think is ok and should be accept...

Re: passive pressure compensation: time to equalise

Hello and thanks for nice words about web site, as indeed it will be up for long time, I can guarantee that. Is the bladder connected to vessel all of the time? You are right that flow is not at constant rate and flow rate will be changing during pressure change. With discharge calculator, you can c...

Re: Pressure at Pump Suction in Closed System

Even if the system is closed and for example you have 50 m height difference, pressure on the lowest point will have at least that 50 m water pressure.

Re: Pressure at Pump Suction in Closed System

You might have that pressure due to hydrostatic pressure. What is elevation difference off the system?

Re: Steam flow calculation from tank

Without knowing the K of valve you can't tell the flow rate even using gas discharge calculator. If you fully open valve you can use K for it from manufacturers datasheet.
