Re: Sea Water Pipe Sizing
Hi,
i did not understand why you want to consider sea water density is 3-4 times more than purified water density.
As per my knowledge density of sea water is 1035 Kg/m3.
Can you please explain the reason.....

Hi,
can anyone suggest me how to calculate the number of tubes required in shell and tube heat exchanger...what are the factors we require to design shell and tube heat exchanger...?

Re: Line size
Thanks for your reply....
Why should we go for 1m/s with 37.6 mm daimeter.
Why can,t we go for less daimeter with more velocity....
Is there any standard procedure or any trail and error methods to calculate this....please suggest us. i am new to these calculations....

Re: flow calculation
calculate flowrate for individual diameter by Q=V*A. for pressure drop at bends(90°& 45°) ∆P=kv2/2g where Kis resistance coeeficient k ------ 90° bend ----- 0.6-0.8 k ------ 45° bend ----- 0.375 As per my knowledge that is the procedure to calculate pressure drop...If anyone knows other option p...

Hi,
You question is good. Can you please explain us the realation between Froude number(Fr<0.3) and liquid is flowing downwards and vapor is able to flow upwards reverse to liquid flow
