Pipe Flow Calculations Forum

I need to know the exact formula/calculation used to estimate the amount of gass loss due to pigging. I have the Pipeline Toolbox program, but it does not reveal how it comes to the values that are returned.

You will have to relief gas from pig trap to
take the pig out.
Volume is the pipe from isolating valve and trap volume multiplied with pressure.
