THERE ARE 30 CUSTOMERS ON A MASTER METER THAT ARE AT THE END OF A SINGLE 4" PE PIPE THAT IS SUPPLIED BY A SINGLE REGULATOR STATION. THE MASTER METER REQUIRES 10PSIG OF INLET PRESSURE. EACH CUSTOMER USES AN AVERAGE 30CFH. THE FLOW EQUATION FOR 4" PIPE IS:
PRESSURE DROP(PSI)= FLOW(CFH)*0.0196
THE FLOW EQUATION FOR THE REGULATOR STATION IS:
PRESSURE DROP(PSI)= FLOW(CFH)*0.0333
A) WHAT IS THE REQUIRED INLET PRESSURE OF THE REGULATOR?
B) WILL A 25 PSIG REGULATOR OUTLET BE ADEQUATE?
