Hi ,
I have a level control valve that I would like to use to calculate the flow passing through in relation with the valve opening position.
Valve type: Globe Valve ,Single seat .
Caracteristic: Linear
Product Water and Condensate:
Inlet Pressure : 58 bar
Outlet Pressure: 8 bar
Inlet temperature 45°C
CV:0.019.
size 1"
position : 50%
Thank you for your help .

Control Valve Flow Calculation
Re: Control Valve Flow Calculation
For your inputs - here is report that I have using control valve calculator at:
http://www.pipeflowcalculations.com/controlvalve/
Control valve sizing calculator
CALCULATION REPORT
1. volumetric flow rate (q): q = 19.466372 l/min
2. mass flow rate (w): w = 19.271708 kg/min
3. velocity (v): v = 0.64029086 m/s
4. diameter (D): D = 1 in
5. flow coefficient (Cv): Cv = 0.19
6. flow coefficient (Kv): Kv = 0.16435
7. pressure drop (Δ p): Δ p = 50 bar
8. density (ρ): ρ = 990 kg/m3
Now as you say characteristic is linear - you should have 50% of flow which is 19.4/2=9.7 l/min
