Vapor Recovery System

Post by Process »

Hello,

I am trying to size a gas line for a vapor recovery system.

Application background: The line size will be sized based on CO2 and H2S gas levels resulting from a chemical reaction in a sealed mechanical vessel. These gases will vent to a vapor recovery system. If I know the CO2 and H2S flow rates how can I determine what my vapor recovery line size should be.

An equation solution will do.

You should know for mixture flow rate, pressure, temperature, gas constant and level of required velocity.
With this you can calculate pipe diameter.
You can also use calculator at http://www.pipeflowcalculations.com/flowrate/
and theory at http://www.pipeflowcalculations.com/pip ... locity.php

Thank you for your support and quick response. But how do I solve for my mixture flow rate? Thanks, again.

If you know weight flow rates of components than sum of both will give you actual weight flow rate of mixture
