during air testing of a gas service pipe (20mm PE80 pipe) IGEM standards state that pressure drop over a 7bar 5 min air test period (we apply 20min settlement time prior to commencing test period) should be 0mb.
we know this is nigh on unacheivable due to site tests
aside from usual factors which would have an effect on the pressure drop being >0mb, (creep, temperature change, barometric pressure, no leaks etc) I was wondering have any others encountered a similar problem as to explaining pressure drop; and if so could provide any help / guidance on the matter??
thanks & regards
