I have a 3" NB pipe and the velocity is 12 m/s.
Now how to know the flow of the oil in Litres per min.
Pls. advise.
Calculating flow by using velocity
Re: Calculating flow by using velocity
Here is the report that I have from flow calculator at:
http://www.pipeflowcalculations.com/flowrate/
1. volumetric flow rate (q): q = 120 ft3/min
2. mass flow rate (w): w = 203880.95 kg/h
3. diameter (D): D = 3.0518837 in
4. velocity (v): v = 12 m/s
5. cross section area (A): A = 4719.47 mm2
6. density (ρ): ρ = 1000 kg/m3
